At CPC we have a rich heritage and have been long known in this community as a strong mission minded church. 


We fulfill Christ's Great Commission by supporting mission through giving of food, clothing, and monetary resources to the General Assembly, Regional Synod, Local Detroit Presbytery, local community, and congregation. 


Some of the many ways we make a difference are by:


Reaching out to the congregation by:

Arranging a visit and honoring a PC USA mission speaker during the October Month of Mission


Distributing adult and children's Mission Yearbook 


Giving Minute for Mission talks during Worship Service to continue to stress the importance of mission 


Hosting the Alternative Gifts & Crafts Show 


Being sensitive to the needs of those in our church family that may need help at any given time


Supporting Youth mission projects


Reaching out to the local community and promoting hands on mission work by:

Promoting "Take a Sack" program for Lighthouse of Oakland County (April & November) for people in need


Running the "Charlie's Coats" program to donate gently used, cleaned coats to the Grace Centers of Hope of Oakland County (October) 


Conducting Services & Serving Meals at the Baldwin Center of Pontiac 


Participating in the Waterford Crop Walk for Hunger (October)


Presbyterian Women sponsored mission to support the activities of the Second Mile Center of Detroit


Supporting the "North Oakland Circle of Faith" Habitat for Humanity program by funding and helping build a housing for a family in need each summer (June)


Supporting the youth and families that travel to the New Wilmington Missionary Conference each summer (July)


Budgeting resources to the Pastor's Mission Discretionary Fund giving financial assistance for urgent needs

Praying for and communicating with the Trimbles family currently serving as missionaries to Pakistan

Contribution to the Bread for the World  and Church World Service (Oct Crop Walk in Waterford) program to help eliminate hunger


Collecting and delivering the blankets from the annual Blanket Offering


Collecting donations to the Pocket Change Jug each Sunday for Presbytery of Detroit's "2 cents a meal" program


Adopting a family or child each Christmas and providing them gifts via the Giving Tree


Providing warm mittens and gloves each fall in preparation for winter months on the Mitten Tree
